CID Information :

What is CID? Identity card of the Client: It is a unique number, that identifies the platform of a client of Ericsson phones. A memory area is kept within the OTP (from programming). When you are going to flash verify that the Cid of the phone is equal to the file that you have loaded.

Description of the different colors of the phones :

RED : Red color is for the end user. This one is the normal color that we will find on any telephone. This color is for software and it does not have any meaning of the hardware. The certificate colors do not have any relation with possible errors of software on the telephone.

BROWN : The Brown color is for development. If we want to unlock, to flash, to repair or to touch any thing in the software the color must be BROWN. Exactly for that reason all the programs and the tools first turn the telephone to Brown and after completing the operation back to Red again. The color Brown only work with service cables like TMS 2 in 1, so it is impossible to update a phone with color Brown in SEUS(Sony Ericsson Update Service).

BLUE : The BLUE color is used for telephones that do not have a complete software or that are under development. The telephone is a test version or is in exhibition somewhere, it is really difficult to find this type of telephones.
